Wanna know more about the Foragers and I?
In the spring of 2020, I came back from a two year mission trip in Africa.
I had a hankerin’ to be the owner of livestock.
I kept thinking, “Sheep would sure be fun to have.”
So the next year, I bought several ewes.
A couple of them had some lambs that year.
I really didn’t know all that much about sheep husbandry, so I figured a barn, lot’s of grain, dewormers and meds would be a big part of my future.
My mind was blown when I did some research and realized that it was possible to eliminate all that stuff and let the sheep just be sheep.
It’s been a little over 2 years since I’ve started and I haven’t had to build a barn, feed any grain, administer dewormers or meds.
But.
It’s not like I just put the sheep in a pasture, and they take care of themselves.
The secret is in the day to day management.
Timely management is the key to healthy soils, forages, and sheep. It’s a living, breathing system that produces meat, full of nutrients for you and your family.
My hope is that you get to experience the full benefits and flavors that a happy, healthy flock of sheep produce.
That’s why I farm this way.
I love it, and I want to offer our pasture-crafted meats directly to you and your family.
