Lamb Burgers on the Grill
A kindergartner could grill up burgers, right? So why would I need to put this recipe together if that's the case? Well, because it's lamb and I have a hunch some folks probably forget it's similar to beef!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. of The Foragers' Farm grassfed ground lamb
- salt and pepper
- 1 egg
- any other seasonings you like, garlic powder, rosemary, etc.
- wax paper
Directions:
- Thaw meat to room temperature.
- Place lamb in a mixing bowl with egg, then sprinkle salt, pepper and any other of your favorite seasonings on the meat and mix it up with bare hands.
- Pat out 4 to 8 patties out on wax paper depending on the size of burger you want.
- Cook on the preheated grill until the burgers are cooked to your desired degree of doneness, about 4 minutes per side for medium-rare. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
Shepherd Jordan's Notes:
I gotta say this for normal burger eaters: "serve on buns with your favorite burger toppings" :)
But for me, I like no bun, and would rather keep it super simple by topping it with pepperjack cheese and sautéed onions.
Enjoy 😋
